I have a year old record and a couple older C4s that need to be repaired. They are no longer under warranty. Where do i send them? Back to Abu Garica or should i find a local repair shop? Thanks

Send them back. You will likely get them back in a week. Go to www.abu-garcia.com and it will tell you where in Spirit Lake IA to send them.

Also how can a record be old??? It 1st came out last year.

The record is only a little over one year old but I seem to have worn it out. Something is wrong with the anti-reverse, and the gears (i assume) slip under heavy loads like DCGs, crainks, and such.

They used the wrong grease in the anti-reverse bearing, so they will take care of that for free. I would almost guess they would take care of the C4s as well. It worth a shot. If not they will call you with a quote to fix them and if you ok it, they will ask for a credit card. It shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks.
