Has anyone been having any success on the North end by The Red door? We were thinking of heading up that way next weekend but thought maybe it is still a little early. Any tips or comments appreciated!

Hit the North end on Saturday evening and the only fish we saw was one that surfaced a cast in front of the boat. The weeds are only a couple feet of the bottom and we only saw 2 other boats muskie fishing. I would give it some time yet.

North end doesn't usually go until July. Walleye fishing should be good around Red Door now. Otherwise your best luck for muskies will be Twin, Isle, Wahkon and cove; maybe vineland. Fishing the weedier bays. Although it will be a warm week and there could be a few moving to the north end by the weekend. North end I look for water temps nearing 72 degrees.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the replies! I had a lot of fun up there last year in mid July and thought maybe a person didn't have to wait so long. I will continue to hammer away in the North metro.
