Posts: 299 Location: Nowheresville, MN | What kind of equipment was he using, a water balloon launcher? Seriously though, what can handle these? I can't see getting those things more than 30 ft from the boat.

Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | We use a super heavy St. Croix, can't remember the model number but I'll find out and post it. We toyed with the idea of mounting a clay pigeon thrower on the bow, or bringing one of our potato guns out of retirement. Definitely a lure for a specific place and time. JS

Posts: 1996 Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | St Croix built a rod for these things. It is the 7'9" XXXHPM. With the right reel, you can pull a truck out of the ditch with these rods. Great Fish!

Posts: 5874 | Nice fish! I doubt I'll ever have a 2 pounder. I'd only be ablr to toss that bad boy once or twice a day! But I like the potato gun idea. Would that actually be legal? hehehe

| I have the two boys hold the water balloon launcher, and I lay the line on the deck, and we fire it out, almost like you're throwing fly-line!!! LOL! Just kiddin'...but that is how I'd do it I think!! | |||
