There were six muskies registered at the WMT's Lake Okauchee tournament Sunday, May 20th. Mark Lijewski and Clay Schroeder tallied the first muskie of the event at 6:58am with a dandy 47 1/4" muskie. At 8:19am, Kevin Moore and Ben Maslowski scored on a 38 inch muskie that would earn the team a fifth place finish. Fishing alone, Mike Ross registered a nice 39 1/2 inch muskie at 9:46am. Mark Gillich and Gordon Hastrieter (subbing for Justin Gaiche) scored on a 38 incher at 11:30am and looked to connect on a second muskie that would give the team a "Muskie Double Header" and an additional $10,000.00 for winning back to back events and a total of $30,000.00 for a weekend of muskie fishing. At 11:32am, the team of Tony Piantek and Dan Buss would score on the biggest muskie of the event with a 49 1/2 inches and with no teams doubling, the team would take the first place prize. The final muskie of the day would be landed by Ryan Fiebig and Chad Slama at 3:14pm and scored 39 3/4 inches.

The Lake Okauchee tournament paid down five places:
1st - Tony Piantek/Dan Buss
2nd - Mark Lijewski/Clay Schroeder
3rd - Ryan Fiebig/Chad Slama
4th - Mike Ross
5th - Kevin Moore/Ben Maslowski

The next tournaments for the WMT will be on May 26th at Lac Vieux Desert and May 28th on North/South Twin Lakes. The North/South Twin tourney is full but there is still some open spots for the Lac Vieux Desert tournament. If you are interested in signing up for the Lac Vieux Desert event, you can sign up for it on Friday, May 25th at the Hillside Resort on the south shores of Vieux Desert, between the hours of 5:00pm and 7:30pm. Lac Vieux Desert is a one-day WMT qualifying tournament that is quaranteed full pay-out and a $10,000.00 first place prize. More information about the WMT and all of the 21 tournament waters can be found at www.WMTseries.com .

There was 22 muskies registered at the WMT's Lake Pewaukee tournament Saturday, May 19th. Mark Lijewski and Clay Schroeder tallied the first muskie of the event at 6:25am with a 38 incher and followed with a 37 1/2" muskie to be the first team to double up. The team of Mike Taraboi and Eric Schmitz registered the biggest muskie of the event early at 6:35am, with a 46 incher. At 11:25am, Mark Gillich and Justin Gaiche tallied their second of the day with a nice 42" muskie to add to their 35 3/4 inch muskie registered at 10:19am. Doug Bloch and Dave "All or Nothing" Schmitz would be the last team to double up for the event with a 35 1/2 incher at 6:59am and a 37 3/4" muskie at 12:59pm. Capturing fifth place with a 43 1/2" muskie at 10:22am was the team of Dan Busch and Troy Woodrow.

Other teams to tally muskies were: Al & Brad Wirt with a 37 3/4" at 6:30am, Parrish & Perrin Sanderson with a 37" at 7:24am, Kevin Mahlberg and Joel Michel with a 36 1/2" at 7:48am, Kent Stadler and Jeff Langlois with a 35 3/4" at 7:52am, Jerry Rzepka and Dan Peckels with a 38 1/4" at 8:05am, Brad Sall and Paul Warner with a 34" at 9:20am, Jeff Danielson and Joe Herrman with a 37 1/2" at 9:24am, Gary Jones and Jim Bortman with a 34 1/2" at 10:24am, Mark VanRossum and Clay Schmoeker with a 38 1/4" at 11:25am, Jim & Lynne Dembiec with a 41" at 11:40am, Scott Gagliano and Brian Kastner with a 35 1/2" at 11:44am, Ryan Bock and Tyler Maney with a 35 3/4" at 12:05pm, Steve Lighthart and Tyler Titus with a 38" at 1:22pm, and Marcus Malyuk and Ben Bain with a 38 1/4" at 2:33pm.

The Pewaukee Lake tournament paid down five places:

Thanks guys. I'm in Oregon right now at the Bowtech Facility which has been amazing. Tonight we will get to hear the inspirational speech from Ray Howell. For those of you who love the outdoors, you've got to read this guy's story, it's something. I will get pictures up as soon as I get home. The WMT website should have them up shortly as well.
