| I noticed yesterday that my transducer wire for my flasher has some wear on it and a bad connection in the same spot. Anybody ever cut the tranducer wire and splice it?
I am going to give it a try being it doesn't work anyhow. If you have do you have any tips on how to do it?
Thanks Keith

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Thtat's CoAx, so it's sensitive to splicing. Where's the break? |

Location: Warroad, Mn | I've tried it and it pretty much doesn't seem to work. But like you say it doesn't work all ready!
Good luck!

| I looked at mine with thoughts of trying that, and feel I saved time by immediately ordering another transducer. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Co Ax is easy to splice with the proper connections, I do that all the time with my Sattellte system. The connection has to be above the water, though. Parts can be acquired at Radio Shack. About $6 if they have the right stuff. |

| I appreciate the responses.
It is going to be right at the water line on my trolling motor. I am not sure what happened to cause the wires to seperate.
I will give it a try otherwise Marcum here I come. Going to be hard fishing Mille Lacs this week without my flasher up front.
Hope all is well.
