Posts: 2323 Location: Stevens Point, WI | It's a Tuesday night league. We typically fish all the lakes the Hodag fishes. With a couple others mixed in. However, nothing is finalized yet so lakes could change. But pretty sure all the lakes the Hodag Tournament fishes we will definitely be fishing those. Seeing we have fished those every year I have been fishing it!

Posts: 427 Location: Wausau | I too will be back and will have two others sharing the gas price from Wausau. We have a 4th who has fished on the league in the past - just need a local bar sponsor. I can not make the meeting as I have work obligations on the 8th. I will inform the other two from Wausau and I'm sure the veteran knows as well.

Location: rhinelander ,wi. | Hello League, I would love to fish the league but need a partner w/ a boat!! I wanted to fish in the league last year but had a new baby boy! Plus I had to sell the boat to help with the down on the house!! I would have like to have a smaller hous AND my boat! But we all know who won that discussion! Hence the need for a partner w/ a boat. If anyone out there has any compassion they won't make me miss another musky season!!! I live right outside Rhinelander so take pity on a local musky hunter - plus she told me to get a hobby! So I don't want to disappoint her. Thanks, Pat [email protected] Edited by muskymafia 4/10/2007 5:58 PM

Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Sled, Sure, I'll do that. Right after I net Sue's Muskie! Crappies are safe during league, but it's hell to pay for the panfish the rest of the week if Sue has anything to say about things.

Posts: 1058 Location: Medford, WI | Mr. Jonesi, What time do you guys start fishing for the league? I would be coming from Medford, and was wondering if I'd still be able to fish if I get done at 4:30 (I would arrive around 6:00, but I could probably talk to the boss and get out earlier if needed). I would also be looking for someone who needs a partner to fish with....don't have a boat yet. If you could get back to me, that would be great. Thank You, Jake Bucki

fishing starts at 5:00 but i know there are a few who launch later. there is no penalty or rule against this. 5:00 to 9:00 you can register a fish. fish all or none. dan

Posts: 1058 Location: Medford, WI | dannyboy, Thanks for the information. If anyone is looking for a partner, please let me know. How does the "teams of 4" work??? -Jake Bucki

Posts: 686 Location: Tomahawk, Wisconsin | Hey Jake we would do all we could to hook you up with a boating partner, some teams of four are put together at the meeting out of singles or twosomes, some have four people already as a team, WE HAVE PLENTY OF SPONSORS!!! We'll see how everthing works out, we had a team two years ago with 3 people, its just an odds thing to have 4 guys fishing out of two boats but then again Andy would have won the league by himself a few years ago, you boat a 40 something incher night in and night out and you are going to be in the lead!! Will this year be the year Andy kicks in the afterburners?????? Stay tuned!!:)

Posts: 2323 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Dave, that will be me kicking in the afterburners seeing I'm living up north at the lake all summer! Those muskies will never get left alone now! Oh, doesn't Andy do better when he's fishing with his wife and Norm is in Canada? Edited by Merckid 4/21/2007 10:16 PM

Posts: 1455 Location: Kronenwetter, WI | Hey--- There was some talk of starting a Musky League in Wausau....doesn't look like it'll happen as the guy who was going to run it got busy and is looking for someone else to run it. Is it pretty labor intensive to run a league like that? Haven't heard of anyone stepping up to run it...let me know if you'd be interested in doing so. Again..Is it pretty labor intensive to run a league like that?
Muskydr |

Posts: 686 Location: Tomahawk, Wisconsin | Not too labor intensive at all, people want to fish and other than placing a few calls or stops to lock up sponsors it is pretty simple. We have quite a few people in the Rhinelander area that help out and make things go smoothly, and everyone knows the rules...........that is a big help!! TONITE IS THE FIRST MEETING OF THE RHINELANDER MUSKY LEAGUE AT PATS TAVERN AT 7PM BE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
