What do you guys use for storage of your baits while in the boat?

Last year I moved to using the clear plastic boxes for many of my baits (not hair, etc...still use the lakewood for those to let them dry).

Anyhow, I noticed a couple probs with the plastic bait boxes:

When I put my plastics away after use and close the lid until my next time out, I've found the moisture causes problems where the rubber actually seems to 'decompose' or get pale and soft.

My other problem is that I've noticed rust on some of the hooks...I've tried the 'rust free' boxes, but they don't completley eliminate that problem...

...short of lugging them all out at the end of the fishing day and setting them out with the lids open I'm not sure what to do.

Thoughts?

- drill some holes in the compartment bottoms to let moisture out and air in
- lug them out and open the lids
- Inhibitor chips - same basic stuff used in the rust-proof boxes, but being released from a piece of cardboard instead of the box itself; cheap and easy to replace when needed. they've worked great for me. http://www.theinhibitor.com/
