A bit off topic here, but I am going to post this here (and I will apologize in advance and understand if it gets dusted or moved)
In the not too distant past (First week of April) my father-in-law, Randy Daigle from Washburn Wisconsin was diagnosed with colon lymphoma. He is self employed and due to future chemotherapy treatments that will be ongoing for some time he will not be able to return to work for 6 months or so. So far, things are looking good after surgery to remove diseased tissue, and his recovery from that is going well. But...as time goes on, they have no way to pay all the doctor bills, let alone take care of the normal bills associated with day to day business. There is a Benefit being held for him June 24th (Sunday) to help raise funds to cover the excess costs.
The real reason I am writing this is that he and his wife have tickets they purchased for the upcoming NASCAR races in Charolette, North Carolina and they need to sell them. His first Chemo treatments take place the week prior and the doctor said "No" to going.
Here are the tickets they have:
2 tickets to the craftsman truck race (Friday May 18) ($60 for the pair)
2 tickets to the All star race (Saturday, May 19th) ($162 for the pair)
2 Tickets to Qualifying for the coke 600 (Thursday, May 24th) ($24 for the pair)
2 Tickets to the Busch Race (Saturday, May 26th) ($122 for the pair)
2 Tickets to the Coke 600 cup race (Sunday, May 27th) ($250 for the pair)
In addition to this, they have two weeks worth of camping reserved. ($250 for a two week camping pass)
They would like to see Face value for the tickets and camping, but they also understand that a little bit of a loss is understandable.
If you know of anyone who may be interested in these tickets, or if you are, please shoot me a PM as soon as possible.
I do apologize for putting this here, but they need some help and if this can get at least some money recovered for them, they would greatly appreciate it.
Also, (I'll throw this bone out there as well) if any of you would be willing to donate to his benefit somehow in terms of goods or services, I will pass along the information to those setting it up so they can contact you.
