I would like to paint my baits with swirls in two colors like black and yellow etc. Can someone give me some advice on how to do that? Do I hand paint them or what? Any advice would be very useful to me. Thanks.

kinda confused by what you mean by swirls. Is there something you are trying to mimic? Most people air brush. I am sure you could get a swirl effect with the proper stencil.

I don't prefess to know much about painting, especially airbrushing. But the attached pattern was done with a lace pattern. Not sure if this is what you are looking for or not. If you wanted multiple colors I would think you could keep the lace on and paint different colors over it.

Hope this helps.

if you want to swirl a color, its gonna take some practice if you want perfection. but, you'll have to put your lighter color on first (of course) put it on thick, and immediately spray your second color over the top, let off the paint, and use your air to move the paint around. meaning both colors are still in liquid form.
I don't paint baits like this, but, discovered it by accident while messing around. it looks pretty cool, but Im sure there is a lot of patience involved with getting it right on a bait.
good luck!

You can float some oil based paint on top of water in a bucket and spin the lure in and out of the water. Use a couple of different colors in the paint slick and you can get the marble look.
