I have recently purchased a new to me boat and prior to pick up, had the marina take off the old graphs and install two 332's backboned to one gps puck. I am quite happy with the setup, but have a question. Now that fishing season is upon us, I need to buy a map chip. What I am wondering is if I can link the graphs to each other and purchase one chip or if I have to buy two chips, one for the helm and one for the bow. I figured someone on here would know if it is possible. Also, along that same line, if I mark a waypoint on one of the graphs, will it automatically register on the other, or is their something that I need to do to get that to work? Thanks for the help, I am rather new to the boat electronics game.

Hey, You cant get one map to work with both units. You need a chip in each one.

brad is correct that you will need a chip for each. I belive that waypoints will go to both units if it connected via the NEMA 2000 backbone but they will not if they are connected via the NEMA 0183 system. I just got my 332 and 113 hooked up together via the NEMA 2000 system but haven't had ca chance to play with it as to waypoints yet. I will let you know for sure after this weekend.

How do you tell the diference between the 2000 backbone and the 0183 system. I am not sure which system the dealership installed. Is there a visual dif. somewhere that I can notice, like on some connectors or something.
