are you ready? Are you Really ready?.......

Two Fish! Yup, a 38 and a 30. Out of 90 boats. You think some of us ay-leet "pro" could come up with something better, but it's the Chain, whaddaya going to do? I can't wait for next weeks "No fish" PMTT event!

Muskies eat when Muskies eat. They care not about tournaments or Pros. They just plain do what they want when they want. The next event there could kick out 40 fish.

I talked to my friend who fished the tourney at about 7:30 pm. and while we were talking ( they went out after the tourney) He and his partner boated a 38"er.......

Whats the old saying? "A dollar short and a few Hrs.later"..... WOW !!!

What sucks is that people were catching fish up untill friday including a 47 caught the day before while pre-fishing. And to think FishStalker was a bystander untill I paired him up with my buddy Mike not 20 minutes before the start of the tournament. A PMTT winner paired with the defending winner of this tournament. This event is a great time, fish or no fish.

Me and my budy fished it. Didn't see a muskie but did get a personal best largemouth (6 .7 lbs) on a 2 oz black and white Pearson Grinder off the north end of Catherine.

I guess Mr. Worrall said it best " muskies eat when muskies eat "

What were the water temps ?, and was it blue bird skies with no wind ?

I would also think the spawn was part of it. That warm sun and calm winds allowed the temps to rise and trigger some spawning. Just a guess but I know it triggered some movement in my area. The muskies were ready for a few weeks but this nice day might have triggered the laying of the eggs and some happy males.

The Bass were hitting for sure! I saw one guy with a 5+#'er, and I hear a possible 10# bass was caught too.

There was a 38" pike caught during the tournament too. I want to thank MOST of you for not smacking the dock hard when you put your numbers in my net. That dock is only 2ft wide and is not stable!

Man we stunk it up. It was TOUGH fishing to say the least. We moved two small fish on our first drift. I say both were under 30, partner disagrees on one. Anyway, did not move a fish after 9 a.m. with the exception of a 3 lb. lgmouth. In talking to many boats throughout the day it started to become clear not many fish were caught, if any. Knowing one fish could do it keeps it interesting, and when is fishing not fun?

83 teams = 166 guys x 8 hours of fishing = 1328 hours of fishing

1328 hours of fishing / 2 fish = one fish per angler for every 664 hours of fishing, or one fish for every 83 days on the water.

Good thing it's not always like that, huh?

They're going today though, you just know they are!

Pretty much!!

That's why I wasn't surprised. I keep telling you guys I can shut down an entire lake, but nobody believes me! This time it was a whole chain. Don't make me shut down an entire state now...

EA,

Now THAT'S funny! Reducing it to total days...if it was that tough, there'd be even less of us than there are!

Worrall said it best, as I mimick another...muskies eat when they want to eat. Herbie once said, "Not even God could catch a fish!"

Makes you look forward to the next tourney...the results should be better!
