Have you tried rollie and helen's? I bought 4 from there last year, and they had to special order them. These are great baits by the way... I really don't know why they aren't more popular.

Posts: 38 Location: Forest Lake, Mn | Yes we were at Rollie and Helens. They said shortly after the new catalog came out they were informed that the Bug would not be made. Basically I need to find a place that still has some on the shelf from last year or some one that has one and would sell it. Thanks.. WS

WS Well, I'm not quite sure about the information you received or who you talked to however, we (Rollie & Helen's) do have an order in that should be on the way very shortly with Marv. Hairy Bugs are on the way. Very sorry if one of us gave incorrect information but please understand that with hundreds of baits in stock it's possible that somebody got the wrong story on a particular bait. We check very carefully with each manufacturer as to their plans and product availability prior to including them in the catalog. Sometimes products get delayed from a manufacturer and sometimes we even get "burned" when someone goes out of business or can't keep up production but those situations are pretty rare. Again, sorry for the confusion but if anyone wants Hairy Bugs give us a shout and we'll have them for you. Edited by Pete Stoltman 4/17/2007 7:50 PM

Posts: 38 Location: Forest Lake, Mn | We were in there last Sat. morning. There was basically only one guy working at the time. Not sure of his name must a mid fifties type. He told us about the order you speak of. And explained that he was iformed none would be coming. However on the same note why don't you guys at least update your web page and let people know they will no longer be available. Anyway Thorn Bros. , Pastikas, and Reeds all gave the same answer. A lady at Pastikas even checked with three of their buyers and they in turn said they are no longer available. I just thought maybe some one knew where there was a store that still had a couple on the peg. Anyway thanks! WS Edited by Whopper Stopper 4/18/2007 8:11 PM

The Hairy Bugs are still available. We spoke with Marv again today and our order is being shipped. We expect Hairy Bugs to be in stock within the week. We do not delete items from the online catalog if they are temporarily out of stock. Items are only removed if they are discontinued by the manufacturer or we stop stocking the item on a permanent basis. I can't speak for what you may have been told by other shops but the information you got from our staff was just a communication glitch and again we extend apologies for the confusion.

Posts: 38 Location: Forest Lake, Mn | No apologies needed. I certainly didn't mean to ruffle any feathers that wasn't my intent. We have heard good things about the bug and that is why we inquired about it before making the drive from the Twin Cities to your store. I believe we bought 6 baits that day and were just disappointed we couldn't get the main one we were after. We enjoyed the ride there and even stayed over night so we could spend more time in the town and at your store. If you are correct ( And I am sure you are) and one comes in then we will buy it on the net and I guess just have to pay the shipping. Thanks for your help! WS

Posts: 1 | Sorry for the delay guys. I am behind in production this year because the demand for spinnerbaits is twice what I expected. Rollie & Helens will have them soon as the paint is drying. Anyone out there wants to make tackle I am going to retire in 2 years but I will continue to make them until business is sold. Again SORRY for the delay. Marv Kiley
