| How long are you save to run an outboard without water hooked up to it?
Thanks |

Location: Stevens Point, Wi. | Not safe at all. The impeller will wear very rapidly without water to lubricate and cool. |

| I turned it over and it idled for about 2 or 3 seconds. Is it ok? If not is it hard or expensive to replace the impeller?
Thanks |

| Not too expensive for the impellor. I think the last one I did was $40 for the kit at Fleet Farm. Took about an hour, and that included draining and replacing the lube. |
