Posts: 2865 Location: Brookfield, WI | Sharks are old hat. They're all over the Discovery Channel. You can book a trip to catch these creatures. Sounds like they catch them on 13-15" rubber baits (master killer shads made in the USA). Bring at least 20 lures. No mention of sucker fishing. Make sure you get your Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A & B, and Malaria vaccinations before you go. http://www.nwalesflyfishingschool.com/fishing_holidays_congo_africa... “The Goliath is a killing machine, always ready to pounce on a likely meal. It is also cannibal and will not hesitate to attack other tiger. So strong is its predatory instinct that it will often attack bait half its own size -that's what makes it so exciting!" I'm going to catch a few more muskies before I book a trip. Kevin Smoked Meat & Musky Slime Edited by MuskyHopeful 4/19/2007 10:29 PM

I had a friend in college that had spent a whole bunch of time in Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer. During his free time he would take a mini bike down to the river and do some fishing with one of the locals he befriended. He told me there was "copeyton" which as he described were enormous bass but also tiger fish. He said the tiger fish were so aggressive that they would chase anything you threw at them. He would throw a lure out and quickly see a wake heading straight at it until the Tiger absolutely pounded the lure. He also said that if I ever fished in Africa I wouldn't want to fish the waters of America again. RM
