I have a bait where the paint started flaking off real bad. The fish liked it painted. I only got to use it a couple times before the paint flaked out, though. Then it didn't seem to get any responses. I'm sure I could get it replaced by the folks who made it, but I have the impression this hunk of wood has something. I have been talking to the Nightmare about getting it repainted. What is the best way to get the rest of the paint/clear coat off? Thanks, Steve

use paint stripper and start over. or use lacquer thinner . the remainder will come right off.

I use a heat gun - it blisters the clear coat and you can then peel it off. It does require some sanding after the clear coat is off.

Shane- Heat Gun or torch? Have you ever had a bait crack on you from the heat? Thanks

I have never had a bait crack and I use a heat gun. I would probably start myself on fire with a torch.
