Location: Northern Wisconsin | i have a suick that i really like the action of but would like it to go a little deeper, im thinking of adding a little weight but im afraid it might ruin the action
for those who have added weight does it change action at all? also whats the best way to add weight? |

| The solder idea is a good one. You may also try a screw in weight system. You can add or remove weights to adjust the rise. |

Location: Hayward, WI | I have a feeling it might mess with the action but you could try experimenting with hanging egg sinkers off the split rings too.

| If you're happy with the action I wouldn't mess with it. Rather, get another and try weighting it instead. I think the most common way is to drill holes, insert egg sinkers and then epoxy. I read somewhere that you can use double side tape to place the sinker in the aprox spot and see if it is balanced right. If right, drill there, if not, reposition the tape/sinker until you feel it's balanced and then drill.
Somebody sent me a weighted suick to which they added an egg sinker. Works ok, maybe a bit sluggish. Gets deep, that's for sure. |
