Location: Verona, WI | There was a DVD on Ebay on making bucktails that I bought that was pretty good. The guy had a web site www.wildsmallie.com. Pretty good video - showed how to tie marabou, bucktail, and then wire leaders.

Location: Bloomington, Illinois | I bought a DVD called Muskie Bucktail Tying 101 on Ebay...It is put out by Chris Hansen,,,His website is www.wildsmallie.com...I went there but didn't see it listed...You should be able to email him...Its pretty good for someone who has never tied them before...He talks about tools and supplies needed and then shows you how to tie 4 different types of bucktails...Good luck. |

I know some guys twist their wire by hand, but I use a Boggs Tackle Maker for the job. If you order one, make sure you order it with the extension kit so you can make lager sized baits....
Some guys tie direct to the treble, others tie onto coil....I prefer the coil as I can get more material on.
Moores Lures, Hagens, Stamina, and Janns Netcraft have been my most reliable source of inventory.
You won't regret getting started....it's a great way to pass the witner months!!
