Location: Northern Illinois | While guiding at Edmund Lake Lodge an Indian told me to fish the stringer. He claimed it produces more trophies for him then anything else. Not only are you getting potential follows that your client never saw, but you also have half a dozen wally's floating over the fishes' head attracting them or at least getting them to take a look....
After a season with 6 trophies in the boat from the stringer, I must say there is something to it.... anyone else ever hear of this or try it.??

Location: Northern Illinois | My father and uncle and grandfather were fishing a small lake in Florence County WI. They had bagged a few eating size northerns, and had them on a stringer. Suddenly, the metal stringer began to shake like crazy. When my dad looked over the side to see what was happening, he saw a huge muskie jerking on one of the northerns, finally tearing it free. All my dad can say is that it was huge, with a wide back. As the top of the food chain, those big guys don't have too much fear, and I can see how an easy meal could attract them. |

Location: Home of the 2016 World Series Champion Cubs | Would strongly recommend checking into the legality of that scenario. Ive been there on the Boundry Waters w/smallies on the chain and a moster northern shredding two of my bronzebacks. I wouldnt want to be testing the waters so to speak directly with a CPO on the water with a citation book in his hands and you trying to get him/her to "see it your way"
Karl
But hey if youre gonna give it a shot anyway........go ahead and put a couple of stinger hooks in them while youre at it.

| A few years ago, some writers for the Fargo Forum were fishing Beers lake in West Central Minnesota when a Muskie pulled a Bass from their stringer. I think that act alone turned them both into Muskie fishermen. |
