Hey just ran my motor (75hp Mariner) and the water isnt exiting the "hole" as it should. Actually it just drips out. However it worked well last fall. I have been doing a little reading and from the sounds of things, it may be just that there is a clog somewhere. Another guy had mentioned that there may be a thermostat on it somewhere controlling the water expulsion as a result of temperature. Any thoughts? Maybe i didnt let it run long enough in order for it to warm up. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you may just have a clog. One thing you can do is take a paper clip or something like that, that you can stick up the spitter and sometimes that is where your clog is at.

Otherwise, your water pump is probably clogged and you will need to flush it out.
