Got a buffalo on a baby bulldawg, didn't snag it, the fish had the lure in it's mouth.

Caught a 34" catfish trolling a jointed shallow Raider. Really crushed it too. Not much else too crazy. Caught about a 7 inch largemouth on a 9 inch Suick.

I remember this one from many moons ago. We were standing on the pier waiting for the rest of the guys, when my buddy wanted to show me the action on his new homemade bait. It was sort of a grey Suick type jerkbait. He cast it out from the pier, jerked it once, when a huge osprey came swooping down from a pine tree and picked it up and tried to fly away with it. Luckily it let it go when it felt the tension from the line. I wouldn't want any part of trying to extricate hooks out of that thing.

Last summer on Leech Lake I was casting a white Sili Girl in some sparce cabbage when I felt dead weight on the end of my line. To my surprise it was a 33 inch eel pout that was hooked in the top of the head.

I hooked a ~20-lb carp in the back with a spinnerbait. I'm bringing it up sideways with a mass of weeds on it. Hadn't caught a muskie before that, so I'm thinking I have my first. And also thinking, 'geez these things don't fight *that* hard'.

Also a 31" walleye on a Lil' Ernie.

Boat partner caught a 4" largemouth on a Top Raider.

Had an osprey take a dive after a client's 10" crappie colored Jake as it lay on the surface during a backlash remedial moment...I saw the bird start to dive but jerked the line hand over hand to take it away...didn't want to deal with removing the hooks from such a beautiful and ferocious bird if it was ticked off...

Why just yesterday, I was with Slamr trolling the big pond when he screamed "There's a fish!" After a good fight, he pulled in a 7' landing net. What a beautiful specimen!!!

Of course, we weren't muskie fishing, but I had to share that.

I caught a 25 in sucker in Kentucky. After I threw the thing back the guy that was down the bank from me said it was probably close to a record.

3 years ago I caught this 30 inch dogfish. It hit a chartreuse clown Viper. Pretty ugly fish.

A friend of mine snagged a bald eagle casting. Had a devil of a time releasing it, but it did fly away.

Homo sapien (aka the guy in the front of the boat)...................actually I can't take credit for this as it was my friend that did the actual hooking. Now the point in time when you realize you are a lesser man is when the person hooked gets out his pocket knife and tries to cut it out instead of heading in, in order to save some fishing time. Alas once hooks penetrate bone they apparently don't come out very easy......as the emergency room doctor even had a hard time.

While fishing our home lake we were hitting the docks and my Uncle cast towards it. He istantly had a hit and set the hook. I jumped down and got the net ready and then it was just tight. He said, "Nevermind...I'm caught!" Then all of a sudden it started fighting. He yelled, "I do have one! Get the net!" I got back up there and the same thing happened. We went over towards where he was caught and he had a Northern around 29-30 inches hit his bait. Problem was that the Northern was already on a stringer! I couldn't believe it! Goes to show that a Northern will hit in any situation!

In no particular order -
A rock, the hook lodged in a little crack in the rock. The rock was successfully released.
A fishing rod- Kept - Grannie
A rug - Believer
A old school steel beer can - Grannie
A tennis ball - trolling 25' on a ernie

I hooked a bunch of Perch Snagged some, and had one eat a bucktail.

I landed a rock when I was about 5. My dad and I were fishing pelican and I had my little zebco rod with the push button reel. Set the hook on the rock and somehow got it off the bottom of the lake. As kids will do I was moving my rod around side to side trying to fight the 'fish' which caused the rock to swing back and fort, which felt like a giant fish running. Even my dad was excited as he had the net all ready, once I finally gained enough line he saw it was a rock, but netted it for me anyways. We released the rock back at the dock.

Also my buddy and I rented a boat from smokey's on Pewaukee to do some fishing. I was trolling a big jake and landed a Berkley Lightning rod. On the very next pass I landed a bucktail. This passed year I got out with Ben Keung and we landed a ski tow rope.

I have also caught a bunch of crayfish, snails, clams, bass etc.

I had a 14 inch Smallmouth bass attack my quickset 14 inch sucker rig and it somehow got caught on one of the trebles. I didn't know it until I seen my sucker line going crazy so I reeled it up and the smallie attached right along side of it!

Two perch simultaneously on a fuzzy duzzit. Both were impaled in their mid sections. I was definitely jigging near the bait fish that day!
