Posts: 1316 Location: Madison, WI | One of my favorite baits to throw. Which WTD baits has the best action while working it fast, slow, best side to side action, pushes the most water and sound? I've primarly thrown weagles and docs, but there are many other styles; jackpots, fish sticks, 10" weagles, (i think a dancing raider is side to side). Anyone throw a zara spook yet?!?! One of my favorite all time bass top waters?

Posts: 13688 Location: minocqua, wi. | give the moss maurauder a try too ... i prefer it over the jackpot for a searching WTD ... the cherry flake to black is a great bait to see in the dark too ...

Posts: 194 | Scott, There is a new WTD lure on the market. It's called the J-Walker. It's made by American Hardwood Lures. It's about 6-7 inches long and has a cupped face like a popper. It makes a "bloop bloop" sound as it walks back and forth. I have a couple if you'd like to see one in person. If you go to www.musky-lures.com and click on the j-walker link, there is video of it in action. It's sweet.

I got away from throwing the old "fat" jackpots for the last few years until last year...they really are a good bait... for me, i tend to throw a variety of wtd topwaters just based on my mood and the fishes.. everything from dancin raiders lee's fish stick and mag weagle old jackpots viper even the super zara spook in may in madison can get bit...

Posts: 1058 Location: Medford, WI | I prefer the Jackpot. I love the ease of use and it sure gets fish's attention. But look for other's opinions as I've never thrown/seen a Weagle or several of the other mentioned above...would love to get a cheap, used one to see all the hype. I got a bearly used Maas Marauder this fall, but didn't get to see it's action yet. I'm also interested in seeing what the big Spooks can do. Especially now, as I see they have a Super Mag style which is 8". Any experience throwing these yet anyone??? -Jake
