Location: Northern Illinois | I have had alot of problems trying to repair the lips of my Suicks after chipping or splintering the leading edge of the lip. I've tried sanding and wood filler, but can't seem to get them to run like they used to. I would appreciate any advice from someone who has encountered the same problem and was able to fix it.

| A colorado blade in a size the perfectly matches your Suick screwed into the bottom of the bait is all you will need to solve this problem permanently. Leave a little 'lip' from the blade (slightly sticking out) to protect the wood from future chipping. Leave a little more 'lip' for greater depth and a bit more wiggle. Yes, you'll need to drill small holes in the blade to fit the small screws you'll need, but this is a good solution to your problem.
