Location: Tomahawk, WI | Lately ive been seeing alot of nice Musky repros pictures on this site from Rick L and some from Joe F. They are all beautiful pieces of work, but, dont get me wrong, i have yet to see a repro of a good old fashion "Green Machine" wisconsin river/flowage musky. You know, the ones without bars or very very faint bars near the tail. All the repros ive seen have very distinct bars all the way through the body from head to tail. 90% of the fish i catch from Wi to LOTW are these so called green machines. I got one of the green machine repros done by Aquatic Arts of Tomahawk several years back, and it is the only one ive ever seen. Anybody else have one painted like a true Wisconsin green machine, if so i would like to see a picture of it.

| I got a green machine done by Lax, he did a super job, the only thing is I wish was that the back would've been darker. My fishes back was almost black and on the mount its a brown. Other then that it looks great. George Smaglick out of Land O Lakes paints the best green machines i've ever seen. Im not sure if he does replica's or not.

Location: Tomahawk, WI | The blugill is a skin mount also done by Dave at Aquatics. The musky looks like a skin mount, thats how good of a job i believe Aquatics did, i think he absolutely nailed it. Good to hear that Rick and Joe did some, i will check their websites or stop in at thier shops to check them out. |
