For anyone out there with a 618 tiller, when you fish from the BACK where do you stand. The floor or on the tanks (rod lockers). Can you work the rod properly standing on the floor? Any pics would be cool too.

I have oft. wondered the same thing, and the lack of a rear deck is what has kept me from purchasing one, though they(along with the 620T) are sweet rigs, and are my personal favs of what I have seen as far as tiller rigs go thus far. I know guys stand on the little rubber pads in the far back, and some(like Rob Manthei and some others) actually run their bow mount trolling motors from there, though I don't think that would be for my clumsy self as it doesn't leave much room for error.. Some guys add front deck extensions to compensate, and some simply fish from the floor. I am still waiting to see one that has been customized with a rear deck, as I am sure a few are out there. The side tanks are plenty big enough to stand on, but in rough weather, you'd want a bit more room for sure. I am sure you'd be able to rig a board of some sort for a temporary deck as well. The best glass tiller that I have seen, with something to stand on in the back, has been a Tuffy 1760.

I have seen a few with custom rear decks on 620 Ts. I am going to customize one this spring when the boat get out of storage.

Pedro, if you have any pics of the customized rear decks on Ranger Tillers, I would love to see them. I am looking at a 690T now, that I'd want to do that to. Thanks in advance man.

Reef Hawg I saw two 620 tillers rigged with a custom built deck while fishing the Minnesota Muskie Trail last year. I know one of the boats was Brad Hoppe's. They were both a little different but looked pretty sweet.
I'm still trying to get some pics myself before I start to build mine. I plan on building one in about a month. I'll send some pics for sure when I get my hands on some.
