Just planned a a long weekend to head down to Shelbyville in late April. Does anyone have any suggestions on productive baits/colors on Lake Shelbyville.

Trolling cranks around Lithia Springs is a good bet that time of year. Colors can run from superman to natural shad to firetiger depending on the light and water color. Keep an eye on the electronics to see where the shad are and troll just above that level. Flat lining is ok but you'll generally do better with boards, either in-line or mast/ski.

Post a message to the Lake Shelbyville Muskie Club board just prior to your departure and keep an eye on this site for up to date reports of lake levels and flow rates for at least a week prior also;

Hope this help.
