I've got this old 9 inch Suick in a red box that must be 40 years old or better. Does anyone know what a lure like this might be worth? Or can you steer me to someone who could tell me or might want to buy it? thanx

Is it the old round Suick? What color? What is the condition of the box? Most of the old round Suicks I've come across have had a black back with a white belly. With the box and in good condition I'd say $30-40, rare color somewhat more, how much?

I know nothing about old lures, but I would say neither the lure nor the box are what I would call good shape. yes, it's the black with round white belly.

I'd be curious on this as well. My brother was given three old suicks, still in the box, the boxes are in near perfect shape, and they are the old round style. Two are black with the white belly and one is more of a sucker pattern. On the boxes of the two black ones there is something written on there to the extent of "coming soon, sucker pattern" or "perch pattern..." I can't quite remember and there is a price tag on one of the boxes for $2.49. Not exactly sure how old they would be but they are tucked away in a safe place. I doubt that the two black ones have ever been out of the box by the looks of them. A guy he works with gave them to him one day. Said his neighbor had died and the guy's widow gave him a bunch of fishing equipment so he snagged the bigger baits and brought them to my bro as a goodwill gesture because he thought he could use them.

They're not for sale but it would be interesting to get an idea of what those would be worth or exactly how old they are.

Yeah! They go for around $30. Maybe a little more depending on box condition and bait color. I've been a member of the NFLCC (National fishing lure collectors club) for 20 years or so. It's a club for antique fishing tackle collectors. I see a few of these at most shows. The box is obviously tougher to find than the bait. Most people threw away the boxes.
