Ok, so I'm set for a jerkbait rod (6'9" St.Croix Premier with a 6500C4) a small bucktail and surface bait rod (7'0" Lamiglas In-Shore Classic with a 5500C3 or same size in the Tournament) and a heavy crank and dawg rod (7'6" Lamiglas with a 6600 Morrum)....but I am sorta lacking in the bucktail/light to medium crank rod. Going to try to stay away from the St.Croixs, had too many butt problems (no bad jokes please), so what do all of you advise? I'd like to stay with Lamiglas, or other makes, and I am thinking that G-Loomis is going to be too pricey. Going to be looking at at least 7'6" for length. Also, going to be mated with a 6600TP Tournament Series or a 6500C3.

Slamr
*thanks in advance

What!! You don't throw bucktails. What do need a bucktail rod for? Save some cash and use one of your other rods for the 10 casts.

I use a St. Croix PM 7'6" or the PM 7'2" for my bucktails. I cast all day with them.

I'd use that 7'6" for surface lures too, as a longer rod is always better there(more line pick up on the retreive and powerful hooksets).

Well, Worrall's rods are only 100 bucks. If you want something else there's also the All Stars for around 120 with lifetime warranty. As far as length and actions I'd go with a 7'6 with medium heavy with a fast action. But...that's only my opinion. Then again, I'm still using my Cabela's Bucher series from 10+ years ago. Still no problems but just a touch light for some of the bigger bucks.

Let me clue you in on something you are already TOTALLY familiar with.....the F word,
yeah that's right...Fenwick. Will handle a bunch of lures well, all the way from the Mepps #5 to the magnum boo and any clanking spinnerbait you care to throw(not in my boat though).

Lamiglas 8' footer..

Best multi-purpose rod on the market.

Slamr, I remember your comment when you used my 8' footer and you said that the rod was "sweet".
