Fingerlings vary in size depending on the year. Typically you're looking at 8"-12" depending on the year.

The size of the fish depends on the lake. Typically in MN the average for a 7 year old is in the 38-42" range. It all depends on the fish of course.

The muskies hatch (in a hatchery) in the spring and by Labor Day they can be anywhere from 6 to 9" They longer you hold them the bigger they get. I've see muskies stocked in late fall close to 14 inches. Like the guy that sell screws says it varies how big they get in 6 years on a given lake. If you really need to know, email your DNR fisheries biologists for more exact info on that lake. I would agree with that guys that sells screws they can be in that range he stated.
