| I have used Coast Lock snaps for a couple of years now without a failure. Tried a few of the Stringese snaps last year and they held up also.

| I perfer not to use snaps.
I have split rings on all of my baits.
It is very easy to remove your leader from a split ring and put it on another. On my light stuf I use 69# wire for a leader and don't even need a split ring pliers, just a thumb nail.
I would certainly hate to loose a fish from a sanp failure, and it would probably be biggy. It would haunt me the rest of my life. |

| I'm with JoMusky on this one. This year I am going to switch to all split rings. I did a little of it last year but still used some snaps. The snaps I did use were all Coast Lock. They seemed to hold up. The thing I don't like about snaps is that they do fail from time to time. I am much more confident with the split rings. God bless.

| The "Duke Snap" from Amery WI if you can still find them. Nicest snap design you will ever see. Not made anymore as "Duke" passed on a couple of years ago. Still some around if you can find them. No I will not sell any of mine. Too hard to come by.

| Split rings all the way. I've been doing it for three years and never even think about losing a fish because of a failed snap. |
