I have been kicking around the idea of converting my console steering boat into a tiller. I havent talked to to many people that have done this before. Is it a better idea to just see if i can find someone to buy the console and motor i have now and buy a different motor? Or is there such thing as a "conversion kit" for such an idea? Anyone have any experience w. this?? Any help would be appreciated!

Probably be easier and smarter just to sell it and buy a tiller!

You can buy a conversion kit from your dealer. It is not that hard to install.

Console to a tiller is much easier than a tiller to a console. Not all boats have a rating for both ways so you may have to figure that out. What brand and model of boat is it?
