I have collected 99% of the money and was able to write a check to my parents on Saturday for $9,675. There are a few outstanding payments that should allow that total to hit $10K!

One of the coolest things I have ever done being able to help my mom and dad out like that after the years that they have taken care of me.

On behalf of my entire family, I would like to thank anyone and everyone who bid or donated to the cause. The generosity of people, most that I have never even met, still amazes me. If you are at one of the remaining shows (Milwaukee and Blaine) stop by and say Hi. I would like to shake the hand of anyone who helped me to be able to do this for my parents.

Thanks again -
Luke

Great to hear...personally I didn't purchase anything, but I was in the auction "chat" and you're right; musky people sure make for great people.

I can relate to how good of a feeling it is raising $$$ for a family who really could use the financial help. A son of one of our High School football coaches got diagnosed with Leukemia at age 10, so two teammates/friends and I organized a Brat/Burger Fry outside a local grocery store. We eventually raised just over $1,000 in one day's work and to see the family's faces when they saw what we were doing was a feeling I won't forget.

I can only imagine how great it must feel for you to be able to help out the people who've been there you're entire life for you! Great job and great job to everyone who bid/won items as well as to everyone who just had a few kind words to say.

I am proud of you Baldy. Think about how your parents must have felt. Just knowing all the friends you have and the people your working with and for. Keep up the image of the perfect son.

I was happy to help in any way I could. Now the work will start getting fish for the guide trips I donated.

As a parent myself, my dream has always been for my kids to send checks home. Congrats on getting that together, I'm sure it was much appreciated and will go to good use. Glad we could all help. m
