| Ok. I have 3 different musky reels. Each has it's plusses and minusses over eachother. What would you do with each one??
1. Shimano Calcutta 400 (NOT the B series)
2. Shimano Calcutta 400b
3. Abu Garcia TCM 6500 (Trophy Collection Musky Reel. Red with a musky engraved on the side plate.)
I've personally been struggling with the decision. Which reel, when, and why?
Which one for jerkbaits? What about Double Cowgirls? Topwaters?
Not much of a troller at all, so please take that into account when you answer.
Thanks in advance,

Location: Columbus, Georgia | If it's not a Calcutta B, then it would be a 400TE, yes?
All of my reels are TE's and I throw everything with them, and have never been aware of any deficiencies whatsoever.
I would not dream of using TE reels to troll. Shimano Tekota's for trolling.

Location: Davenport, IA | TCM has 6.3:1 ratio I believe. If so...jerkbaits only. Original Calcutta 400 had a 4.7:1 gear ratio. Throw huge bucktails or cranks with that. |

| It isn't a TE, a CT400.
Thanks for all the information . It was just what I was looking for! |
