Anyone use the twist and heat leader material much? I am wanting to rig some stingers to a few trolling baits (like the new ones drifter had at the show) and thought I might give it a go. I don't want to use fluorocarbon for this since there is pretty high potential for a lot of hook contact on the stinger line. I know they used seven strand, but I haven't found any knots that I like the look of when done and I don't trust crimps alone. Any suggestions?

i've been using an improved clinch, and LIGHTLY heating it with a lighter. i say lightly, because heat tends to have negative effects on metal.

i use about 3 or 4 wraps.
