I just phoned the Dish Network and I can't pick the show up down here on any of the broadcast channels. What a bummer, as they are highlighting the early spring bite in southern reserviors. It was 65 degrees down here on Cave Run yesterday (though I was painting a bathroom in lieu of getting out there).

Its also part of the 60 plus plan!

I just called and jumped up from 60 to the 60 plus for 5$ a month. I figured for 5$ a month for some saturday morning muskie porn is a no brainer!!

That's a negative.

Everyone referring to Channel 436 on the DISH Network: The show can only be picked up in the 6 or seven states that it is originally set to broadcast to.

I have spoken with Dish Network 3 times today and they made attempts to download new programming software to my system. The bottom line is that while I can "subscribe" to Channel #436 (here in northeastern Kentucky) ... the show will be BLACED OUT.
This has been established with certainty.

It appears that I'm beat on this one. Too bad that the original broadcast area was not planned with a wider net. Looks like I am only a few hundred miles out of reach.

I suppose I'll end up purchasing the show's DVD when Musky Hunter puts it out after the original 13 episode have aired.

SOMEONE IS FEEDING YOU COMPLETE AND UTTER B AS IN B S AND IN S . . . the only thing that is blacked out are professional sporting events. If you subscribe to all FSN Networks you receive all programming with the exception of NHL, NBA and MLB games. I have all the FSNs and watch stuff all over the US.

Call in the Marines!

A 4th call to Dish Network and a Supervisor assisting this time....

I am now subscribed to Channel 436, and have had to set up tomorrow's recording (TIVO) manually as the menu guide showed "no information available for the 6:30 to 7:00AM time slot (Eastern Standard Time).

Hoping for the best.

Thanks for the additional guidance.

with the various FSN channels, there is usually a default "local" one that you get as part of your regular package but ALL of the other regions are available, you might just have to pay a bit to get them.

You can watch the show via the Internet on www.thesportsmanchannel.com. You'll have to pay a monthly fee of $5 to view all of their shows on-line. Anyhow, it is just another option, and next year, we'll have another on-line viewing option.

I watched it on the internet and the quality was good. Five bucks a month isn't very much with all of the outdoor programs you have access to including both hunting and fishing shows. Well worth it. The first show was good and I'm looking forward to the rest of them.

My TIVO worked and I was able to record the show. Just watched it.

First show I ever watched where I already had or had the need for every single product advertised

An awful lot of commercials (about 45/65 to the actual show footage), but I thought the action shown was great. The actual name of the body of water being fished was thoughtfully omitted. Not at all certain as to what that's about. Every fishing show I have ever seen tells you WHERE they are fishing, though many of our Musky DVD's once again leave us guessing.

The provided description as "a southern reservior" seemed a little non-descript. I figured that the name of the lake was a good trade for all of those commercials.
