Posts: 32954 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I'd suggest Lake George here in Rhinelander. There's several resorts on the lake, and there's LOTS of water close enough to trailer to easily. George has quality muskies, good walleyes in numbers, and decent panfish. Plus, you're 1 minute from the Hideout and a cold one, and I'll mark your maps.

Posts: 267 Location: Ft. Wayne, Indiana | muskyhopeful, a fellow Vikings fan. Lake George sounds like a good bet for us, Sworrall thanks for the offer, not old enough to have a cold one though, one of those kids that got hooked at an early age. Billy Brumett

Posts: 2865 Location: Brookfield, WI | Billy, unfortunately the only time I would type the words "Go Vikings" is when a MN victory improves the Packers' chances of a playoff birth. LOL Stay away from the cold ones. Much better to be hooked on the 'skies. Kevin It's a Wildcard Miracle

Location: Northern Wisconsin | there is so much water in the vilas county and surrounding countys its easy to head 5 minutes down the road to a new lake. its good to check out reports online and from bait shops right before you go up in case the lake your on isnt hot. because you have narrowed it down to vilas/sawyer now you could probably even narrow it down to what type of lake/river/flowage. clear/stained, deep/shallow, weeds/rocks/stumps. and if you get a sunny day and your staying on clearer water you could always head to stained water.

LOL" Thanx for that clarification, Kevin. I wasn't tuned into your miracle wish. For a minute there I was rounding up da boys to come over to Brookfield and put you on a bus! G

| another place to try would be the sportsmans lodge on Moose Lake in Sawyer county. John the owner is a guide and will do everything he can to put you on fish. Two years ago he wasn't very busy so he just went fishing with me without having to hire him! I learned more in those couple hours about that lake then in 16 days of fishing it before that over the years . | |||

Posts: 1536 Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | Take Steve up on his offer. I have been to the hideout and he has a great place there. Lots of water to fish and Steve will outdo himself with the maps, his advise and help.
