Posts: 331 Location: Stevens Point, Wisconsin | With all the talk about the movie "Blood hook" in another post, I was wondering how big you think the musky is that the two guys catch? You know the one that they drag into the chick’s house. To me it looks like a good solid 50 inch fish over 35 pounds. Wonder where and how long it took them to catch that musky for the movie? That movie is a classic! Ed

| I'll have to slap the dvd in tonight and look again. Appeared to be in the 50" range if I remember right. Further, how can I get a lure like the bait shop dude uses? | |||

Posts: 3165 | Bloodhook was filmed in hayward wisc ,,,the story revolves around a fictional "musky madness tournament",,,a madman/fisheman stalks various tourists, locals etc murdering them by casting big muskie baits at them,,, this movie should be embraced by the muskie world and should be sold at places like thorne bros,Rollie and Hellens etc,,you will really enjoy it if your a wisc ressident theres one scene where they do in some Illinois tourists who they have really stereo typed in the movie. actually the producer is the same guy who created "Mystery science theater' the popular TV show,,he lives here in the TC area I was actually thinking of getting him for one of our MI meetings,

Posts: 17 | You can buy the movie here http://www.troma.com/movies/bloodhook/ And I had to buy it - a buddy and I used to joke about a similar imaginary scenario - i.e., some redneck guy sitting on the bow casting platform in a shopping mall parking lot casting lures into people and then yellin' 'Feeesh Onnnnn!!!" - and we didn't even know this movie existed. Even better, Jim Mallon and Kevin Murphy of MST3K fame worked on this - frequently during MST3K they'd include jokes about fishing. Of course, our state in it's infinite wisdom once actually allowed legal snagging of salmon and trout, so if you'd ever seen that circus on the water, the above wouldn't be that far fetched.
