The lakes up here have enough good ice now to get out! We found about 5" on Stella in Starks this evening.

Woo Hooo, I'll be up there Saturday and Sunday, so hopefully we can ice some pike and eyes. Was worried I'd have to get the boat out up there.

man, it's nice to see the change up here since mid-last week where we had light ice, rain and some snow ... looked dismal at best, but since saturday without snow cover and a return to normal temps. the ice fishing game is on!

joel, give me a call if you can 715.493.7848 ... i'm alone without the kids for a bit and have a brandy new ice-armor yukon to play with and plan to go tipup pike fishing later this week ...

I don't see any gills on the ice?
We could still be in the boat down here. Pewaukee West end is wide open. If there only was a catch and release season until you couldn't?

Yeah, we were only out for an hour and a half, I couldn't escape the telephone any earlier. No Pike, no gills, only saw a single gill on camera. I was trying to get a couple pike for a video I'm shooting sponsored by Frabill/Tuffy/E-cell. Next time, I guess!!

Man...I'm dying to get back out to do some ice fishing. Unfortunately, here in Indiana, that's a wishful dream. We just don't get those kinds of winter anymore. I haven't ice fished in at least four years...maybe five?

Really no need to even winterize a boat anymore down here. Fished four times last January of '06....

There is a little bit of ice here in Central WI. It is also finals week here at UWSP. I swear the best fishing time occurs during finals week! We have been getting a bunch of walleyes and numerous flags but sometimes we suck at the hook setting process!!! Goin' out this afternoon after our final is done. Hope the flags keep popping!

Will do JS. I think my bro in law has been doing well on Minoqua for the eyes and slimers.

Ahhhhhhhh....leaving for Land O Lakes next thursday and am up until the 3rd. Palmer by day, Cisco Chain by night. Now, if my augers start, that would be a bonus.

Hit Kentuck last Friday and ice was about 4-5 inches as far as 150 yards from shore, but then I hit 2 inches. Still be careful on that lake! Hit LVD Sat and ice was 4-5 for a couple hundred yards out. Fishing was steady.

8" on Stacks Bay on Minocqua tonight. Couple walleyes, a few giils, and a few perch. Dinner was superb!
