| i recently bought an original old wood grandma, but it came without hooks. anyone know what size/style hooks jake used back then? thanks in advance...

Location: Tinley Park. Fish Cen IL. Bass & Vilas Cty.Muskie | I have several but I am terrible at trying to judge hook sizes. I believe they have a longer shank on the hook than most hooks in today's market. I would bet they are the same as the old Suick hooks. I would check out e-bay fishing and search grandma and take a close look at the M9 Grandma baits. I think they were wood. If I am wrong- please correct me. |

Location: Grove City, PA 16127 | I know Jake and I can't remember him making production Grandmas out of wood. If you have one it must be one that he gave to a friend or was lost on one of the lakes he fished.

Location: NeverNever Lake | Like it was said, chances of having one of Jake's are slim. I'm sure some of the early prototypes were wood though. It would be foolish to tool up plastic dies without first seeing how it fished. Alot of folks have copied them out of wood |
