Posts: 94 | Over here (in Sweden) I have hardly ever ran into a pink lure, but some while ago I read an article in a Swedish magazine that pink is a pretty popular lure color in the US. Is this correct? And what lures are available in pink? Especially looking for crankbaits as I'm not into jerkbaits yet, although a friend is and he's wondering the same. So what pink lures (not custom ones) are you guys aware of? And what kind of pink, would that be hot pink, pastel pink, shocking pink or some other type of pink?

Posts: 8865 | There are a few pink versions of just about every lure, mostly custom paint jobs. I don't know if any manufacturers that have a pink bait in their lineup as a "regular" color. I think it's guide's choice pro shop that had all the pink lures at the shows last year, I don't remember. Are they popular? Well, I think just about everybody has a pink lure or two. I have a couple, out of a few hundred lures. There was a pink craze a year or so ago, but since then? I don't think a lot of people are using pink. Anybody loving pink these days?

Posts: 2754 Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | I love "hot fluorescent pink". I'm going to close my muskie season out tommorow over on the river throwing a "Hot Pink" Alien. I think it's all about contrast and giving them a good target. Fluorescent color's stand out at any depth. Al

Posts: 4266 | I still make pink and probably always will. Pink is also a great complimenting color for purple or dark red. I make a two tone that is flo pink on the bottom half, with Kandy pink on top with silver scales, or purple pinstipes. I use pink a lot on stained water. My go to color on The Wisconsin River. OOP, did I say that? Beav

Posts: 360 Location: Tinley Park. Fish Cen IL. Bass & Vilas Cty.Muskie | Pink is good for Bass/Pike. Bubblegum is the name for bright Pink in Bass baits. The most productive and probably the only ones sold are in soft jerkbaits. I have 2/3 bags in my boat. Pike love them, I go with the weedless sluggo/fluke bait in the weeds when pike are around. Pink Senkos(Yamomota bait company) were hot for my buddies on Lake of the Woods last Spring with Bass/smallies and especially Pike till they ran out of 6 bags(60 baits). I stick with white soft jerkbaits. You just can't beat a pearl super fluke(Zoom bait company) when you are fishing soft jerks(easy to see, looks like a baitfish) with a red Gama EWG 5/0 HOOK. I just picked up 2- 1/4oz Boogerman buzzbaits in Pink/Bubblegum for bassin/pike fishing up North- don't forget the trailer hook. So pink is good for topwater/subsurface baits.

Posts: 38 Location: Port Washington, WI | I have a pink Grim Reaper that I used quite a bit this year with high hopes. I did actually throw it a bunch on several lakes in WI and MN. I did catch a few pike on it but not so much as a follow from a muskie. Seems like it would be decent color.
