Posts: 32950 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Sue and I will have a Thanksgiving lunch at Keith and Brandy's, then will meet some relatives here for a late evening Turkey. Tough travel, we have to walk across the driveway! Friday, Sue has to work and I'll be in the stand again. It looks to be a beautiful weekend! We only have two tags open, as Sue got a 6 early this morning before work, and I filled two antlerless with nice does. Looks like venison on the grill is a safe bet again at the Hideout next year! Are you on the water this weekend? Where are you headed for the Holiday?

Posts: 2865 Location: Brookfield, WI | As the saying goes, "There's no place like home for the holidays." Two sisters and their husbands and mothers-in-law, my Mom, my niece, my nephew, Mary, Grace, and I for ritualistic consumption. Going to see if I can't get most, if not all of the cooking areas of my new kitchen fired up at the same time. I predict I reach my maximum girth sometime in the early evening. This milestone will be followed shortly by a very sleepy period. Everyone have a great Thanksgiving. Respect your turkey, as it is a noble sacrifice they make this time of year. Kevin Going to try and leave room for dessert.

Posts: 401 | I am staying local in the Mpls area but I have special plans today. 60 Degrees in Mpls means I am leaving work early and floating the Mississippi for some trophy smallmouth. These big guys in current are a blast. HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL. Keith

Posts: 734 Location: Watertown, MN | Tough decision, 50-60 degrees could be out on Mill Lacs trying for some late season monsters, but after going deerless last weekend my boy still wants to hit the woods, so were off to antigo for some more time in the woods. Boat is still in driveway awaiting for another trip, hope weather cooperates. Troyz Keith, take it easy on the smallies, any encounter with spotted fish Edited by Troyz. 11/22/2006 9:31 AM

Posts: 4080 Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | 32 relatives at my place in the twin cities for thanksgiving,3 big turkeys,a goose,3 ducks and all the fixings... our tradition is to have a touch football game early but it turns into an all out rumble after 3-4 plays. This is just my wife's side of the family!! We do have a blast... rain snow ,sun or frozen tundra , the GAME always goes on.. I personly like to play this game when there is about 4-6 inches of snow on the ground.... Alot softer hitting the ground that way. We also go around the room and every person shares what they are Thankful for from 72yr. Grandpa on down to the 2yr. old kids.Thats always cool! Hey Troyz if you decide to go to Millacs on Fri,Sat. I could be you'r net man... I left my boat and gear down in NC.and flew home. Anyway everyone have a Blessed and safe week, and don't forget to be THANKFUL!! Later, Jerome

Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | My older brother will be coming up to Minocqua on Friday morning, so it looks like another few days of crawling through cedar swamps. Tomorrow will probably be a short day in the woods, then sit in the kitchen, drink beer and watch football. Plenty of butchering to do this weekend, not looking forward to it. Lots to be thankful for. JS

Posts: 723 | hey sloan, you gotta take the good with the bad, better to have butchered, than to not have shot at all........ I just shot a nice 10 over on Rainbow flowage, got him cleaned up last night, very thankful for that versus eating crow over the winter. we will be fishing GB thursday, friday, saturday, and maybe sunday if Im lucky, thanksgiving is at Ma's house, I steal the old man to go fishing while she's cooking the turkey, we'll get off the water just in time to feast, drink, and take a much needed nap! Wish I could afford to take off the last couple days of the season, but, we'll wrap it up by the end of the weekend. by the looks of it with 50 degree temps, casting is back on the agenda! maybe a little trolling too.

Posts: 2378 | spending time at home with family. Having Mom home for Thanksgiving gives the Breyer family a great deal to be thankful for. Other than that, I'll probably spend a good amount of time in the shop working on baits.

Posts: 94 | I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving. Took my son out on his first muskie fishing trip and he caught a nice Melton Hill TN muskie 38" to 40". I would post a pic but don't have a clue. Great day and something extra to be thankful for. Chris Attachments ---------------- Steve MH Fish.jpg (76KB - 100 downloads)
