| I am looking for some quick tip on the Hayward area for next week. I will be staying on Sand lake and I am looking primarily looking for some action info. My main goal for the week is to have my wife catch her first muskie.
Thanks.

| Sand Lake is a very good action lake. Lot's of fish in the 34-40" class.
I was up on Big Siss 2 weeks ago, and had several follows in a few hours of fishing. Spent the rest of the day trying to get a meal of eyes. Had a 45"er slam the wife's walleye right at the boat. Scared the bejeesus out of her. hehehe. Almost all the fish I saw were on rock humps with weeds. Water temps wer 78-79.
Tight lines,

| I was in the area last week, Sand can be an a good lake at times. The best "action" was happening on Spider and Moose. Tiger Cat Flowage also shows good action from time to time.
All of these are capable of producing decent size fish but will put the odds in your favor for getting your wife her first.
My suggestions, give her smaller Mepps Musky Killers "tip it with a twister tail" or a topwater bait in the late evenings. Fish the edges of the cabbbage.
Hope her first one's a nice one..[;)]
Let'em go...all of'em.
