when you are slow trolling a bulldog do you set the reel in free spool with the clicker on or do not free spool ??

| Remember that Bulldawgs are soft plastic and it can be easy for a fish to sink its teeth deep into the plastic. Thus, having the reel in free spool could cost you a fish, IMO. Tighten the drag down on your rod a little more than you might if you were trolling at regular speeds. Or, you might want to hold the rod in your hand and actually set the hook if you're going slow enough and get a strike.

Location: On your favorite spot | I wouldn't troll anything in freespool. I like to hold my rod and make long pulls with the dawg when I troll. |

| Just slow troll and jig it along bouncing off structure, you will get some muskies.  |

| 50 feet to over 115 feet depending on how deep you want it to drop, you can also add weight to get them deeper and also add tail gunners for flash |

| I have slow trolled before....it works. I have found that 75-80 feet is about right, but with 40 feet out, and an 8 ounce snapweight, you have much more control. Make sure you put the insurance guard on the clip if you are going to be setting the hook! Put the snapweight 5-6 feet ahead of the bait!

| Allows you to run deeper with less line out, and allows for you to run tight to structure, and even allows for faster speeds with greater depths! |

You aren't dumb...I should have explained myself...each clip has a short amount of wire, that you clip to the line, in the event the weight pops off....if you are setting the hook, the weight WILL, FOR SURE, pop off!
