| Oct 28th is the date...Vilas/Iron co. is the place. Hopefully we won't have to put in tip-ups! Should be fun...Sorno said he'd buy me beer all night if we win... Call your bookies and let em know ....What are the early odds Slamr? You were pretty good at predicting the last round.... | |||

| we made a good showing of it, with Sorno bagging a 37 and me scoring a 35 tiger. however, those "other guys" boated 4 fish on the day to take home the victory. there is some controversy however, as Team Therapy was under the impression that we were under a "no casting" rule, as we didn't make a single cast the entire day. a formal inquiry is underway to decide whether three of Team Horseshoe's fish which were caught on artificial bait should be disqualified... we had a blast sitting in the snow squalls and tending 6 sucker lines at once. as you can see from the pics, we were working hard...or hardly working... congrats guys, and well played. putting 6 fish on the board between us was a pretty cool way to end this year's MatchFishing! Location: Contrarian Island | Matchfishing pics from saturdays finals...We hit the lake at 8 am...wind wasn't toooo bad...yet...I got a 33.5 at 8:30 a.m., mag dawg, ripped it thru some reeds and bam, fish on...good to break the ice right away...hour later, hopping the mag dawg off a rocky shelf, I get a fat 37"er. Couple hours later, mag dawg against shoreline with timber I get a 36.5"er...Dan whiffed one on a sucker at about 1pm...Lake change at 2pm. I whiffed a maybe 30" hybrid then Dan got a nice 38" hybrid on a spot he cursed me to no end I kept fishing..... It did bleed a little but seemed to kick off ok. 4 in the net and 2 misses...not a bad day for 25 mph winds and a few snow squals to boot...Congrats to Lambeau and Sorno for boating 2 ....with only 6 lines out! Slamr tells me we will be handicapped a fish each match if Team Horseshoe signs up again in '07 ! Location: Contrarian Island | Oh I totally forgot to put in the report....one of the matchfishermen went overboard grabbing a sucker rod..it wasn't me, it wasn't Lambeau and it wasn't Sorno...luckily this gentleman is not a defensive lineman and I'm fairly strong! It was funny ..even though it could have been bad...and we still got the fish .... Edited by MSKY HNR 10/30/2006 7:03 PM | ||
