Posts: 2323 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Nice fish Sorno! Had a little pre-weekend luck myself tonight. Fished a lake I haven't fished this late in the year before and was pleasantly surprised with one 35 incher and saw another three that were 38-42 tonight. If only I would have taken the time to stop and buy suckers! Might have been an even better night.

Posts: 2515 Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | Cold was the word. Snow yesterday and today up in Land O Lakes. Caught about a 40" in the first minute we were out....a bad bad cold front blew through and shut down the works. I'll post pics tomorrow. Edited by Gander Mt Guide 10/22/2006 8:16 PM

Posts: 3883 | I got out for the first time in weeks and weeks. About 12 hours over two cold wet windy days with one 38" in the boat. I caught the 38" on a Timberwolf, a killer glide bait made by Shane West. In fact, he's sent me two Timbers, a 7" and a 10", and both are awesome. Gary Heck (Lunker Bait CO.) also sent me a terrific glide bait, check him out. Anybody want to buy my Phantoms and Mantas? I also had a big babe follow, at least lower 40"s, at night throwing a Original Ghosttail in black/black. Man, she followed the figure 8 round and round and then drifted off. A second cast brought her back and again she turned a few times under the bait as I was doing the 8. Very exciting. Everyone should have those bright lights that clip on the bill of your hat, you can see follows when they get close to the boat.

Posts: 2378 | I had a little early weekend action myself. I took Friday off and took a buddy and my cousin out. I ran the boat and manned the sucker rod while those 2 cast. We were fortunate enough to get one to eat the sucker, and my cousin was able to land his first muskie. Not many better feelings than netting that first fish for somebody... Posts: 7057 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | This pretty much sums up our trip up to Green Bay: (this is in response to me saying to Lambeau that I'm not too motivated at work): go down to the break room. dump the coffee pot all over the floor. run across the room and dive/slide through the coffee. imagine yourself beaching on a mud bar. smile.

Talked to Lee Tauchen who guides on Mille Lacs this morning...He put his PB in the boat a day or 2 ago...53" x 25.5" and it was a WI Strain fish! Said windows have been short, water temps 42-43 but they are getting hits every day for the most part... He still has a few dates left this fall if anyone is looking to get out w/ him....
