(HE WHO DIES WITH THE MOST BAITS WINS)

If you want to be a bait collector I guess. I am on the other side of the fence - last year I put roughly 85 fish in the boat last count I owned around 100 baits...very few baits I own haven't caught a fish (some over 10) when they get wore out replace them...to me thats winning.

There's nothing wrong with buying baits you don't need. Some people collect cars some guns. Baits are sort of in the middle in that most people can afford to collect them if they want. Some people want nothing to do with collecting and buy alot of baits simply looking for that secret bait that will catch fish when nothing else will. Musky baits are tools, some better than others but there is no secret bullet out there. Like any tool the better you know how to use it the better it performs. I happen to love glidebaits and they see a lot of water time. I have become very good at getting musky to bite them and just not follow as some people seem to think they are only good for, and catch many nice musky a year on them, but they are not the best tool for every job. I guess I'm also riding the fence because I buy baits to collect and to use hard. Baits are the second biggest collectible after coins and the 30 dollar bait you buy today could pocket your grand kids 30 thousand some day, you never know. Well made baits can be a very good long term investment.
