| I'm looking to visit Rollie and Helen's Musky shop in Minocqua in person this season after ordering a ton from them on the Internet. What would be the best lake in the area to fish for a day? I'd like a scenic lake with decent numbers, but also some potential for a big one. Thanks.
PS: I might not want to drag my boat along - who would be a good guide? |

| Time of year is a big factor to name a lake, then it isn't even easy. I like Tomahawk in the summer, but it isn't a piece of cake.
For a guide try Steve Heiting, Doug Smith(Rollie's), or Russ Smith.
Make sure you bring lots of money if it's your first time in Rollie's, you'll need it. |

| Another good lake to try is Lake Caulbashine(probably wrong spelling) but the lake was great! It's only about 5 minutes from Rollie and Helens.
Give it a try,

| Hi Otter,
Pick me up a R&H bumpersticker while you're there, eh? Also, the one time I spent a week in the area we ran into some weather that blew us off the lakes. So we put in the Tomahawk River and caught a couple there. Nice area and visiting R&H was like being in a church. Have fun! |
