So I get on the water just before 5pm tonite...weather forecasters were saying some big front was coming and possible severe storms...felt fishy...went out for about 20 minutes....didn't see a fish...then ran back in and picked up my wing man for the night...Dan "chatterbait" Okray (GOTONE)...so first spot..I'm tossing a cowgirl (go figure) and Dan is coming in behind me with a Big Joe he snagged from my joe box...not 15 minutes in...he says "theres one"..."nice fish, nice fish" he proclaims...especially after the fish comes half out of the water to try and shake his big joe...we get it in the net..nice 44"er.
So we take pics, set up and not another 20 minutes goes by and he says he has another one! I'm like you gotta be kiddin me! ....so we get it in the net...36.5"er...So I figure I better switch to some soft plastic or he's gonna clean up behind me!
So I put on a reg. dawg...15 minutes..bingo, i get one one...37.5"er in the net. sweet.

Then Dan tells me he has another one! this ones shakes off after a bit...#*^@it!

Then I get hit on a mag dawg a bit later...didn't get it hooked...cast back she swirls on it again! missed the bait...#*^@it.

So it is about dark now...we figure something will eat after dark...sure enough..Dan has the hot hand and gets a 43.75"er to eat on the 8 ..and he wasn't even paying attention!

A bit later he gets another fish on...so I'm thinking what the heck am I just here to net his fish! He gets a 42"er in the net..

Finally I get to put hooks into something and I get a 38.5"er...all this in under 3.5 hours!

And to end the night looking for fish #7 I get smoked and flip my headlamp on to see a 34" pike inhaled my bucktail....

now that is a night...the storms never showed up..it stayed very warm well past dark...i was in shorts and a tshirt for most of it...

gotta love nights like this!

Very few muskie fisherman will ever have an evening as successful as you and your friend did. It reminds me of the priest that was having the best game of golf in his life in the movie "Caddyshack". Congrats., but be careful!

I attribute Brad's success to the fact that I played couch slut at his pad this spring. I left a little extra mojo there, and it's payed off BIG time.
Way to go boys!!!

Yah Joel I think you left some mojo for Dan and I...put me and him together on the water and we always seem to find the ski's...big ones and lots of them! maybe it's all the talking he does...I just tune it all out though ...right Dan?

too bad it wasn't a matchfishing night ey Koepp!

I doubt we have another nite like that for a while.... and Bette I was using your dammmmn leaders! at least for one of my fish!

It was a blast razzing Dan he had to net his own...he sure gets excited when I tease him ! I now have a beer rule in place for Dan!

I don't think BN listens to anybody!!!! I do know why we were both using the same lure at the end though

Awesome guys, and great pics. 34" pike's just fine too. Mentioned last because it was caught last? I figured the fish would be on last night, the T-storm hit here in S ONT around 4am, shook the whole street, really heavy weather. Great night and great a report.

Nice show man!! I thought that night looked real good with the stuff rolling in. Had to play Mr. Mom Tues, but was able to get out with dad the past couple days. Had to slime his new rig. Now, I wish we could have slimed it 6 times the same day.......
