When working a glide or twich bait do you figure 8 or continue to twich the bait with quick turns when you have a follow? I've been in both situation where i've had follows and done both, where neither fish ate... Which technique have you had more luck with?

Twitch baits, go into 8.

Gliders... depends. Some gliders are "8 friendly" such as Novaks, Magic Makers, Phantoms, anything that can swing side to side without any manipulation. Others take more time to initiate that swing or just don't do it w/o manipulation, in that case keep twitching/making it glide.

Just keep them moving. Most gliders will have a wide swim action to them when you pull them through the straight-away, and take the turns high so they can get a good look at the profile. I've even pulled them out of the water on the high part of the turn and splashed them right back down at kept going. Make it look like something in distress, whatever you have to do....just keep it moving.

Keep twitching it and try to make it stand still. It's tough when you are running out or real estate. I found that works better especially with Mantas and Jackpots

I like to make them swim next to the boat, almost like they are following the boat, or being dragged along by it. Then I rip it into the 8. Of course I dont know if this works cause fish dont like me and tend not to follow.

I usually pull my glide baits pretty fast with few pauses until i'm about 15 feet from the boat then I really speed it up into a regular figure eight.
