| Since Southern, WI gets to fish for skis a month earlier then us over hear in MN, I may have to take a trip over there. Can anyone recommend a good lake in SouthWestern WI? (if there is one is WI[:)] )

| The only ones that come to mind are Madison Chain and the ones over towards Milwaukee. If you need more info contact me and I give you what I know.

I am not aware of any musky waters West of the Madison Chain in Southern WI but that certainly doesn't mean that a secret one doesn't exist. Keep in mind that the PMTT is on the Madison Chain the weekend of May 18 and 19. |

| MJB,2 lakes come to mind in SW WI. One is Yellowstone in Lafayette co. near the town of Darlington and the other is Twin Valley in Dodgeville.Both lakes are action lakes.Both are worth trying. |

| Can't beat the Wisconsin River just south of highway 10, for early season fish. Try below the dams and spillways. |

| As long as you're puttin' em back, I would be glad to give you some info on s.w. Wi.I live in Iowa and fish some of these "ponds" on a regular basis.Don't always believe that you can't catch big fish on "action " lakes.I released a 48" in a tournament last fall on a lake in northern wis. that has a reputation for holding a bunch of "crib" fish(skinny 36"ers).This fish weighed b/t 32-34 #'s.One of the lakes mentioned is really special.#'s and size structure.Give me a holler! | Hey Jonesi, those are some special ponds that you are talking about!!!!!!!! I vividly remember trying to put that fifty in the net after you threw your reef hawg into it!!!! I remember seeing 40 fish in 1 day, caught 1 that day but thats fishing right!!! Keep your eyes in the water!!! Dave |
