| Canada trip is fast approaching (Sat) and so is a huge cold front(surprise, surprise!) The cabin is roughly half way between Dinorwic and Sioux Lookout. We usually like to scout some new water each year and I'd like to make our trip count. We have some experience on 'Seul but have barely scratched the surface. Wabigoon/ Dinorwic on the other hand has just been driven past with promises of "some day". I know the muskie first guys fish the 'goon every year, do you spend any time on the north end? on Dinorwic? Any "sleeper" water in the area? Any input is much appreciated, thanks in advance. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I fish the NW side of the Goon alot, including the bays right next to the public launch. All the way to the Microwave tower on the North shore is great water. |

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | If this helps your decision at all, I was there from August 12-19th, didn't focus on Muskies 100 % of the time but fished enough....didn't even see a fish, nor did anyone else at our resort. The lake is down almost 2 Feet because they opened up the Dam |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The Goon can be fickle, and water levels will dictate where the fish might be. I wouldn't avoid the Goon at all, the fish are there and are LARGE. A Day trip could be really good, one never knows. Down 2 feet is way better than UP 2 feet, IMHO. |
